Item — record carton: MSS 025 Box 06
Identifier: MSS 025-01
Scope and Contents

"I have also included a very high end couture hat from a London shop that was given to me as a 'thank you' gift by Marty Feldman ('Young Frankenstein') and his wife Lauretta who stayed in my house on their first visit to the States when he first became famous in the U.S. He and Lauretta were VERY close friends. The hat which is in two parts, is a knockout, reflective of the design of the times ... late 60s. Marty said he took one look at it and knew it was 'Me'." -Sylvia Lewis

1 black costume, 1960

 Item — Box: MSS 025 Box 10
Identifier: MSS 025-03-02
Scope and Contents

"... here is the costume designed and made for me by Ray Aghayan for the NYC productions of "Vintage '60". It was for the "Kinney System Parking Lot Plot" number which had not been in the Hollywood show, but inserted for the N.Y. audiences. It didn't help the show at all as we only ran 10 performances. We all felt that in taking the show out of Hollywood and bringing it to N.Y., David Merrick must have needed a tax write-off. We all knew the show wouldn't work in N.Y." -Sylvia Lewis
