Overview
"Under Every Mountain, A King is a queer fantasy novel about language. It follows Cleena Clery, a young woman who flees from her home for unknown reasons. She stumbles into the land of the fae, strange people who's words carry power in the most literal sense. The novel follows Cleena as she's wrapped in the ongoing perils of the fae, learns slowly to work through her own trauma, and forms bonds with these new people around her. All while it explores the meaning of language, and the effect the words we use has on each other, and the world around us." -- Abstract
