Overview "The Scattering Winds is a high fantasy novel, and though it stands alone, it is also the first in a planned trilogy called The Iean Cycle. There are Avrathians (bird-like people), Lacertians (snake-like people), Groukis, Humans, and yes, Gnomes. A human city is sacked and that sets in motion a series of events.
