Overview
"Poshun, which means nourishment in Sanskrit, is a short, medium length narrative fiction film. The film is about the world, and from the point of view of Khushi, an 18-year-old girl. Khushi (she, hers) is a new immigrant to Boston with her mother and father, from a small town in Punjab, India. Her father drives a taxi in Boston and mother is a homemaker trying to assimilate into a country where she doesn't speak the language. Khushi's family want to hold on to the more traditional ways of their small town, India, while she, despite being a shy, introverted girl, wants to explore her new country, who she is, her new friendships, sexual identity, and exposure to a new world." -- Abstract
