Scope and Content Note
The series contains Master's theses from 1943 to present. The theses consist of either a production book and a media component or solely a production book. The production books were originally submitted as physical bound copies, but were later submitted digitally. The physical production books are stored offsite and the digital production books are stored in the College's preservation repository.
The media components consist of U-matic tapes, VHS tapes, CDs, DVDs, and Blu-rays and changed to digital submissions in 2020. There are also a handful of audiocassette tapes and one USB. The media components are stored onsite at the Archives.

Overview
"This thesis discusses the intersections of theory and practice in applied theatre through an analysis of effective applied theatre projects, a review of literature, and the author's interpretation of her own professional experiences. The deliberate combination of theory and practice also explores some ways that devising theatre can promote a broader understanding of individual identity within the complex structures of oppression. The central question is: what are the benefits and challenges of using applied theatre techniques, teaching and learning theories, and reflective and reflexive praxis to devise plays with and for young people to explore self- expression, self-awareness, and advocacy? Points considered are youth as a population, how people learn, the role of the facilitator, how organizational goals can affect a creative process, and different schools of thought on community building." -- Abstract
