Overview

"The story of Kate Cahill, a thirty-eight-year-old woman who seems to have it all, but who is driven to the edge by the impending loss of her beloved father. To cope, Kate develops an addiction to online porn chatrooms. As Kate, her three sisters and her mother gather on the Cape in her father’s final weeks, she quickly loses control over the situation and struggles to keep her secret while surrounded by family. In the wake of her father’s death, Kate continues to unravel, and eventually, her spiraling self-destructive behavior threatens her marriage, her job and the life that she has created. As roles are reversed, it is her sister Delia, the family screw up, who helps Kate find her way back. It is a story about loss and longing, the power of family and the complicated yet unbreakable ties with those we love." --Abstract.
