Overview

"My Years with Prospero is a feature length documentary on a recluse woodcarver who lives in the forests of Vermont. In the late 1960's, Mark Fenwick was living on the streets of Boston as a homeless adolescent, where he was experimenting with his lifelong interest of sculpture. Around this time, he heard of a group of likeminded individuals leaving the urban centers of Washington and Boston for the mountains of Vermont: what would be the genesis of the "Total Loss Farm" commune. Mark, or better known as just "Fenwick", would find a home at Total Loss Farm, where the group's members would put on spectacular performances of art and theater that would heavily feature Fenwick's larger than life sculptures. Fifty years from the inception of Total Loss Farm, Fenwick resides on the hillside where this story of counter culturalism, communal living, and artistic expression took place. My Years with Prospero is a film about an artist and the place in which his work is created." -- Abstract
