Overview

"The controversial topic of necrophilia has been largely ignored since Gabrielle Wittkop's debut novel Le Necrophile in 1972; in fact, contemporary fiction has often avoided it completely. Of course, it makes minor appearances in novels such as Cormac McCarthy's Child of God or Bret Easton Ellis's American Psycho, but the subject resorts to minor characterization and is almost always utilized to depict corrupt characters as even more reprehensible. There are few necrophiliac protagonists that an audience could have any sympathy for, until now. Beyond this, the intertwined themes of love & mortality, death & consent, are to be explored throughout this novel, alongside a lingering question for the protagonist: inherited insanity or ancient supernatural ability? These efforts shall result in an action-packed, twisty, situationally comedic, and dramatic manuscript, rife with intrigue and investigation." -- Abstract
