Overview

"From the height of absurdity to the starkest reality, these stories probe the stranger sides of the human experience. The first three stories are a satirical connected triptych, examining white privilege, cultural appropriation, and the search for higher meaning. The last three stories are a miscellany linked spiritually and thematically in which family and friendship are put to the test in the face of obsession, stagnation, change, and loss. We travel through the stories of a Megachurch pastor who thinks he has achieved Nirvana and the consequences of his delusion, a down-on-his-luck Soundcloud rapper-turned-foot-fetish-model who hits it big, the daughter of a widower bigfoot hunter who is going on her first hunt, and a man and his disabled brother who lose a cherished childhood friend to drug overdose. These stories run the full emotional gamut and ask questions, both serious and silly, about love and the pursuit of happiness." -- Abstract
