Overview

"Kakie Pate's Under the Honey Locusts is a collection of poems that largely examines the human experience as it relates to the natural, spiritual and religious world. Topics such as mental and physical health (and the lack thereof) as well as elements of place come into play at times to help explore human to human, human to self, and human to nature relationships. The collection's title stems from Pate's life in Boston living on a hilly street lined with Honey Locust trees, a habitat from which she has received much inspiration." -- Abstract
