Overview

"Insomnia and Other Stories is a collection of short stories and flash fiction revolving around identity, loss, and the complexity of love. In each story, characters grapple with their identities in the context of the people they love, the places they call home, and the narratives of their past—personal and historical, individual and collective. Many of these stories portray Jewish life in the contemporary world, examining the ways in which the personal is political and the political personal. For all of these characters, the past continues to shape them—to haunt them, to teach them resilience—as, even in the wake of loss, they learn to move forward." -- Abstract
