Overview

"This memoir is the story of a 6,000-mile road trip, a journey undertaken to understand my father's suicide and grapple with the guilt of not having seen it coming. I embark on a quest to reconnect with my siblings, who are scattered throughout the country, and to find and gather what is left with our father gone. Driving over mountains and prairies and deserts, I find hope and companionship in a small furry creature at my side: a dog who came unexpectedly into my life just before I left." -- Abstract
