Overview

"Three years after the disappearance of her addict sister, Ophelia Ares, a college senior and budding writer, attempts suicide along with an enigmatic boy named Jack. Ophelia learns soon after meeting him that Jack has lost his own sister to suicide. In court-ordered therapy Ophelia must relive the bizaare events leading up to her suicide attempt, including her unusual relationship with Jack, the existance of a seemingly impossible club called Guilt, and the discovery of shocking new evidence surrounding her sister's disappearance. Through retelling these events, she is forced to confront repressed childhood trauma as well as her complex relationship with her sister and the recognition that she may not be as innocent in her sister's legally pronounced death as she once thought." -- Abstract
