Scope and Contents
This series consists of materials in periodical form, relating to the Boston theatre arts from 1857 – 1952. Also included in the series are materials relating to the function of the Boston Evening Transcript. Excerpts and full issues of periodicals concerning the theatre arts mainly in the Boston area are represented in printed form, photocopies of news-clippings, and in the form of scrapbooks. Handwritten journals belonging to members of staff at the Boston Evening Transcript are also included.
