Scope and Contents
This series contains original photographs, reproduction photographs, and book plate images of actors and theatre productions from the 1870s through the 1930s. Included are individual portraits, cartes de visite, cabinet cards, theatre company photographs, and photographs of scenes from productions. A scrapbook of loose photographs is also included. Notable performers represented in the series include Sarah Bernhardt, General Tom Thumb, Lillian Lawrence, and Clara Lane.
