Overview

"Paid by Howling is a romantic fantasy novel by Caitlin DiGiacomo and is the first book in a series of reimagined Greek myths. It explores the end of the world from the perspective of mythological monsters. The story follows main character Dakota as she traverses a postapocolyptic United States, locating the other remaining survivors left alive. As each of them discovers they can change shape into ancient beasts, Dakota will be forced to examine her traumatic past as well as her uncertain future in The Underworld. Only with love can the game of the gods be won." -- Abstract
