Overview

"Gregory Heimstat was the ideal father, at least that's what his daughter Blythe thought until he disappeared to his homeland of Germany amidst the devastation of the London blitz. Blythe finds respite in an American soldier who offers her the escape she needs, a new life far away from the judgmental stares of her neighbors and the home in which the ghosts of her father's betrayals reside. Finding herself in Nashville, Tennessee with a husband she knows little about and a culture she can't seem to understand, Blythe doesn't know where to turn. Amidst her loneliness and struggle to escape the ghosts of her past she stumbles upon the one person whose sorrow matches her own, leading her on a path to discover what it really means to find a home while uncovering the truth that will change everything." -- Abstract
