Overview
"This novel is an exerpt of a longer body of work that I intend to publish, covering "Part One" of the work. This novel is a work of fiction in the high fantasy genre, intending to act as a homage to old style of fantasy and the tropes found within, embracing the old cliches for a new audience. As such, the work showcases the traditional hero's journey with tropes such as a young farmboy turned hero, a magic sword, a dark overlord, and an epic journey filled with a myriad of locations. This work is intended for an adult audience but can also be enjoyed by young adults. It is the author's hope that this work will be embraced in the fantasy market and find a wide audience there." -- Abstract
