Overview
"Ten years ago, Sarsa Pain was spared by the Issa witches of the desert. But in exchange for her life, Sarsa was made into an Arlen, an ancient warrior that has been outlawed for centuries––a warrior bound to the mind of her master. Sarsa's new assignment is not only impossible; it could change the fate of the dying world. Sarsa must kill the Centh Emperor, a man more ghost than mortal. Using a prisoner named Baden Prime as her guide, Sarsa leads a group of disguised Issa warriors into enemy lands. But when a sand storm leaves her alone with Baden, Sarsa is thrown into the world of her enemies without a single ally. Sarsa must finish her mission even as a bond begins to form between her and Baden, a connection dangerous enough to destroy not only the assignment, but Sarsa's Issa-crafted identity." -- Abstract
