Overview

"WRITTEN BY NEIL is a half-hour sitcom, half live-action and half animated, that follows the creative process of imaginative yet scatterbrained grad student Neil Brooks as he embarks down the long, twisting road toward screenwriting stardom. Tasked with writing his first feature-length movie from start to finish, the pressure mounts as he finds himself unprepared and inexperienced, both as a writer and a person. Not to mention easily distracted. After all, a storyteller has no greater enemy than himself. Grappling with too-honest feedback from his roommate, a judgmental classroom who have themselves figured out, helicopter parents who think they know what's best, and conflicting emotions towards that cute neighbor across the hall, Neil must navigate a chaotic blend of reality and fantasy where everything in his life, from his interests to his relationships, has the potential to be his most abundant source of inspiration, as well as be his harshest critic. THE OSIRIS NEBULA is an hour-long animated space opera series where the high- stakes adventure of Treasure Planet meets the buddy dynamics of Rick & Morty. Lance, a lifelong member of the galaxy-spanning Javelin Crime Syndicate, finds himself in the company of Captain Sirius Howler, a lone space pirate who offers the boy an opportunity to break free from the syndicate and find his long-lost sister. In exchange, Sirius takes Lance under his wing as the two embark on a death-defying quest to find the greatest treasure in the entire universe: the legendary Osiris Nebula. However, the past collides with the present, old foes make themselves known, destinies become intertwined, and as the treasure gets tantalizingly closer, Lance discovers the easygoing Sirius has a lot to hide behind his devil-may-care smile. Lance may have been a prisoner of Javelin all his life, but not all prisons are created equal: one doesn't need to be locked in a cell to be imprisoned." -- Abstract
