Scope and Contents

From the Series:

The Audiovisual series consists of two sub-series: Commencement and Films.

The Commencement sub-series contains video footage of undergraduate and graduate commencement cermonies organized chronologically by year. For some years we only have a partial ceremony, specifically only the honorary degree presentation and commmencement address or just the commencement address. All the videos have been digitized.

The Films sub-series contains footage of films produced by Emerson College's Media, Technologies and Production Department, including documentaries and promotional films and footage of Emerson College events.

Overview

The commencement ceremony was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The ceremony featured: Welcome by Jeffrey D. Greenhawt, Chair of the Board of Trustees; Teaching Awards presented by Michaele Whelan, PhD, Provost and VP of Academic Affairs; Commencement address given by Stefani Robinson '14, an Emmy-nominated co-showrunner, executive producer, and writer for FX’s 'What We Do in the Shadows'; Presidential Valedictory Address by M. Lee Pelton, PhD, President of Emerson College; and awards and speeches by students.
