Overview

"Dark Magic and Magical Creature Enforcement Task Force Detective Meg Madison is up to her elbows in zombies. The gross decaying beings seem to be popping up across the entire Dallas-Fort Worth Area, and Meg, her ghostly partner Vex, and their probationary knave officer Jack can't seem to figure out what or who is making them. Humans are in danger, magical creatures are in danger, and their jobs even seem to be in danger as the race is on to catch the dark magic-wielding culprit before the summer ends. But as the case keeps getting closer and closer to being solved, Meg's magic starts going on the fritz. Without it, she and her partners find their own lives threatened on all sides, from colleagues to cuddle buddies. With therapy on sprinkled on top, Meg finds her life turned completely inside out on all fronts with only brain-eating monsters in sight." -- Abstract
