Overview

"Known for their incredible secret-keeping ability, the White House Residence Staff find themselves tested when President Wilson has a stroke and, rather than tell the public and surrender power to the unlikable VP, Edith takes over all executive decision making. In doing so, the Residence Staff must lie to Marshall and act as though their president (who a select number of the staff might even call a friend) is perfectly fine. With season one being a partially true re-telling of Woodrow and Edith Wilson's reign, the series will follow the upstairs and downstairs of the White House during various administrations, each igniting its own unique scandals. As presidents keep changing, the infamous wallflowers known as the Residence Staff remain America's only true and constant, even if we don't know they're there. The Great meets Downton Abbey." -- Abstract 1 "After a wealthy industrialist mysteriously passes away, his estranged children excitedly fly home to claim what assets he left behind. But, as per their dad's final wish, they can't have a dime until they turn an undeveloped piece of land, his land, in rural PA into a country club named after him. With only a year before the county takes the land back, the siblings haphazardly build the club only to learn that their inheritance is contingent on whether they turn a profit. On the brink of bankruptcy, they must choose between surrendering the land to the county and returning to their miserable lives; admitting failure and selling out to their dad's second family hell-bent on building an oil well or working together." -- Abstract 2
