Overview
"Sterling Ryder (40) is a Court Officer at the Boston Municipal Court, respected by inmates and the court staff. Sterling privately struggles with depression ever since his son was killed. Jeremy Hawkins (16) is a protégée gang member that finds himself at the BMC. Jeremy recognizes Sterling and decides to put him through hell. Sterling is suspended from work after he's served a restraining order from a woman he has never met. As Sterling waits at home for justice, the stories being spread about him are becoming progressively worse and worse. Sterling discovers Jeremy is behind it. Sterling killed Jeremy's father in self defense, sixteen years earlier. When justice fails him, Sterling is forced to take to the streets, and to settle this beef, in the end only to find Sterling wants to save Jeremy. A crime-thriller like 'Cape Fear' with a focus on Boston's gang culture and court system." -- Abstract
