Overview

"Jake Mars is a widower that will do anything to fight to keep his Minneapolis urban neighborhood from changing. Jake owns a greasy spoon diner that is famous for their world class cinnamon rolls. The diner hasn't been forced to change since the doors opened in the 1950's. A Somali woman opens up a wildly successful Somali cafe in the same neighborhood which forces Jake to fight for his cafe or run the risk of it going out of business. Jake will stop at nothing to save his cafe. His wife, Sonya, who recently passed, was the lead baker at Hart's Cafe. Jake will go to despicable lengths to save the cafe and honor his wife's legacy. In the end, Jake will learn that there is beauty in diversity and that there is a better life in front of him if he is willing to find the strength and courage to change." -- Abstract
