Overview

"MIDDLEWIVES is a one hour dramedy pilot about a young woman who escapes her polygamist cult and finds new family with a group of Vegas strippers. It uses themes of motherhood and freedom to explore ideas of chosen family and the necessity of discomfort for growth. IRL is a half hour comedy pilot set in 1999 about three teenage technopagans who team up with a deceased 80s heartthrob to help the spirits they've unleashed pass on. It explores the intersection of the past and future in numerous ways - the turn of the millennia, futuristic technology unleashing the dead, and characters teetering on adulthood - to comment on tackling the present in the wake of an uncertain future. These projects are the conclusion to a body of work that aims to depict women and girls achieving anything they set their minds to-- from to saving the world, to saving themselves." -- Abstract
