Overview
"BRING ME TO LIFE is a crime thriller about a transgender private investigator searching for her dead partner's missing teenage daughter. The investigator soon uncovers a child trafficking ring run by politicians. It focuses on themes of identity, infrastructure, the spoiling of innocence and the struggle against power, with expressions of a mental state on the screen, graphic violence and assault, and transformative experiences. The script aims for authentic representations of minority characters as well. These themes, elements and representations are all present in most of my work in the program, as is the struggle of the oppressed against the powers that govern them; societal, spiritual, or otherwise."
