Overview
"Fantasy Unchained is a blend of the science fiction and fantasy genres, set in a near future Seattle and a new virtual reality online game that feels completely real. The story follows Aislinn Graham in her search for the Songmasters of Sarn in the game after she receives a mysterious letter from her dead mother. As she struggles in her search, the lines between the worlds begin to blur as she realizes the characters in the game may be sentient, and they have agendas of their own. Fantasy Unchained addresses concepts of personhood and human rights, violence induced trauma and self-defense, and how far we'll go to protect our friends and family. This novel is the first of a planned five-book series." -- Abstract
