Overview
"A tattoo, a coded journal, a Jane Doe who may or may not be a former girlfriend—these are the only things that Mari Cassidy knows about her life from before she arrived in Mission, South Carolina two years ago. And, if graduating high school with no plan wasn't bad enough, Mari's past is finally catching up with her. Her visions are growing increasingly disorienting, the pain from skin contact is becoming unbearable, and her only remedy is to wear gloves despite the summer heat. Hoping to put an end to the strange ailments, Mari and her best friend, Ian, leave their dusty little town to search for Mari's past. But, when a bounty hunter with the ability to control the elements arrives with the intent to hand Mari and Ian over to a mysterious corporation known as Pano Technologies, Mari and Ian go from searching to running." -- Abstract
