"Blade of Hope is a YA Fantasy of approximately 110,000 words that follows Harlow Stonehand, the orphaned daughter of a shunned magician and newest member of the queen select's personal guard. When a plot to assassinate the future queen select is uncovered, Harlow rescues her only to realize the corruption is not outside the kingdom of Thornewood. It's been right under her nose the entire time. To save the future queen Desminda's life, Harlow must brave great danger to smuggle her out of her homelands and navigate the dangerous lands and monarchs surrounding the kingdom, all who wish to wrest the queen's lands away from the female-dominated society. With few allies and no weapons other than the sword she escaped with, Harlow and Desminda must learn to work together. But both hide terrible secrets from each other and when they're uncovered, it will shake the very foundation of their world." -- Abstract
