Overview

"'Media literacy' is a term that has been studied for years, which usually connects to the trending media type and social behavior. Media literacy not only presents the ability to recognize information from media, but more importantly shows the comprehension of messages and civic engagement capacity. Film has been a popular type of media for many decades and is an effective path to demonstrating the understanding of media literacy. This project discusses the connections between media literacy and film, and tries to achieve possible cooperation between film education and media literacy education considering media literacy is not a fundamental curriculum yet in most schools. With appropriate media literacy education, students will be expected to become qualified media makers and accelerate the progress of making media literacy a basic course and a life skill." -- Abstract
