Scope and Contents The Arthur Barron Collection contains 34 unbound scripts written, directed, or produced by Arthur Barron and spans film, television, and stage. The scripts were written between 1972 and 1999. Some collection items were filmed and aired while others were never produced or sold. Most scripts in the collection are documentaries. This collection holds papers, publications, photographs, and other materials related to Division of Communication Science and Disorders at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. This collection encompasses programs, playbills, and memorabilia pertaining to American and International dance companies, from the early 1900s to the 2000s. The bulk of the collection contains playbills, however there are also souvenir programs from various dance companies and a few newspaper articles pertaining to performances. The majority of the collection pertains to the Boston Ballet from the late 60s to the early 2000s.

Elinor Hughes Collection

The Elinor Hughes Collection is a collection of materials relating to Ms. Hughes’s career as a theater and film critic. Much of the collection consists of bound volumes of her articles written for the Boston Herald, with some articles written for the Junior League News Bulletin and the Hollywood Reporter. The collection also contains the book “The American Burlesque,” which features five articles with illustrations on the American Theater in 1893.
