 Series
Identifier: MSS 008-3

Scope and Contents

This series contains playbills from repertory companies in Boston and New York City.

In this collection a repertory company is defined as a company or organization that performs different plays and works throughout a season, either at a designated home theatre, or at many theatres. The bulk of the materials are from the Boston based repertory companies: The American Repertory Theatre and The Huntington Theatre Company. Ranging in dates from 1933-2009 the bulk of the materials are from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Newspaper clippings were found tucked inside of many of the programs. These have been photocopied and are filed at the back of each folder with the name of the production it pertains to.
