"Let's Pretend" Scripts, 1934 - 2006

 Series
Identifier: MSS 004-01

Scope and Contents

This series contains scripts written for the "Let's Pretend" radio program. The majority of the scripts were written by Nila Mack. Following her death, several scripts were re-written by Johanna Johnston, and these scripts contain the notation "JJ". In addition, several scripts have BBD&O noted after the title. These scripts were written by the Batten, Barton, Durstine, & Osborn ad agency. When Cream of Wheat became the title sponsor of the program, the ad agency wrote scripts that incorporated Cream of Wheat into the program. There are a few scripts that were recreations of the original broadcast and were added to the collection after the initial acquisition. These are noted as such.
