Scope and Contents
This series consists of five hardbound books containing plays by William Shakespeare (1564-1616), annotated by Berner during her studies at the Emerson College of Oratory. Books are from the New Rolfe Shakespeare series edited by William J. Rolfe and published by the American Book Company from 1903 to 1911.

'The Merchant of Venice' and 'Much Ado About Nothing' are not dated; however, they contain the handwriting style Berner used in the earlier years of her study, circa 1916-1917.
