Biographical / Historical Note
Charles Klim graduated from Emerson College in 1950 and received his Master’s Degree from Emerson College in 1953. He earned his doctorate degree from University of Pittsburgh in 1959. Following his graduation, Dr. Klim was hired by Emerson College to teach courses and diagnose speech disorders. While teaching at Emerson, Dr. Klim was very active in a number of Emerson College committees including the Academic Policy Committee, the Committee on Committees, Graduate Council, Graduate Study Board, and many others. He was Chair of the Division of Communication Sciences and Disorders in 1964 until 1989. Dr. Klim retired in the spring of 1992, after 33 years as a faculty member and 25 years as Chair.
