Biographical / Historical
Bill Knott was born in Carson City, Michigan on February 17, 1940. He received an MFA from Norwich University and taught at several schools before becoming a Writing, Literature, and Publishing faculty member at Emerson College between 1975 and 1977 as well as 1984-2008. Knott wrote over twelve books of potry and won several grants and awards, such as the MacDowell Colony Fellowship, Yaddo Colony Fellowship, and NEA grants. He died ob March 12, 2014.
